Governor Sanwo-Olu’s wife urges Nigerian children to be peace ambassadors

The wife of the Lagos State governor Mrs Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu has advised participating children at the National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFEST) to show love to each other and strictly imbibe the act of living in peace with one another.
She gave the advice at the Lagos state House Marina where she hosted some participating children from different states at the on going 35th Edition of the National Festival Of Arts And Culture, Eko NAFEST.

With the title “” Mama NAfest’ given to her for the state playing host of the festival this year, the motherly role was fully displayed as the children and other guests were welcomed to the house with good music , sumptuous meals and snacks.

In a remark ‘ Mrs Ibijoke Sanwo- Olu who told the children the story of colonial masters including Lord Lugard who lived in the house, said the decision to host the children at the parliament, state house Marina was intentional to give them a sense of history pointing out that having the knowledge of their history will help in shaping their future.

Mrs Sanwo- Olu also harped on the significance of the festival and the theme Culture and’ Peaceful Co- existence and advised the children to be ambassadors of peace and unity and reminded the Children that without peace the development of Nigeria will continue to be a mirage and progress elusive.

In a remark the Director-General, of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Otunba Olusegun Runsewe applauded the efforts of Mrs Sanwo-Olu, who took time off to entertain the Nigerian children.

Otunba Runsewe described the wife of the Lagos state Governor as a compassionate woman who has true love for children.

The children were excited for having the opportunity to interact with the wife of the state governor..
High point of the event was dance competition in which the children were rewarded with tablet devices while those who came first, second and third received laptops each.

The children also went on a tour of the state Government House.
