House of Courage empowers 22 special persons

The Real House of Courage, (RHC) a faith-based organisation, on Saturday empowered 22 physically challenged persons to enable them to be self-reliant.

The empowerment that featured starter kits presentation and an award of certificate to the beneficiaries held at the Four Square Church Fagba, Lagos State.

The organisation trained the people on soap and sanitiser making.

The theme of the event, “Being Unique” targets special persons in the society to encourage them.

Speaking at event, the Facilitator of the event, Evangelist Benjamin Odagbon encouraged the people to imbibe positive living and not to be discouraged by their special conditions.

According to him a positive living style will aid them live out their dreams and aspirations.

“Nothing can stop you if you believe in yourself and live life like every other person in the society. Pursue your goals with zest you will get it and lift yourselves from dependent status,” he said.

The Trainer of the trainees, Mr. Isaac Olayinka, admonished the trainees to always know that they are unique persons that are capable of positively impacting the society.

“You have undergo training on Fast-Moving-Goods see it as a springboard to advance your self in all facets of life and improve your earnings.

“You are now role models to your peers that are yet to undergo your kind of transformation go out there armed with this skill and conquer your world,” he advised.

Olayinka said said that for 15 years he has trained no fewer than 4,000 people in various skills and those were earning living with the skills.

He appreciated the organisers and Mrs. Olapeju Coker for their foresight and humane gesture, asked the beneficiaries to make the best use of the items offered them to make a difference in the toiletary trade.

Mr Oluremi Abati, one of the sponsors of the programme, also advised the trainees on business strategy and book keeping.
