Nigeria’s ongoing efforts to deepen youth participation in manufacturing and productive enterprise have received renewed momentum with support extended to 2,000 young entrepreneurs to be part of GENSPARK industrial summit .
The initiative aligns with national objectives aimed at reducing youth unemployment, strengthening local production, and providing sustainable alternatives to irregular migration.
The summit is billed to attract over 5,000 participants from across the country, in a bid to equip young Nigerians with practical skills in manufacturing, leadership, and regulatory compliance.
Organisers said the programme is focused on repositioning the productive sector by encouraging youth-driven innovation and enterprise development as key pillars of sustainable economic growth.
Further more, the initiative is intended to ensure inclusiveness and expand access to capacity-building opportunities for young people with viable ideas in manufacturing, agribusiness, healthcare value chains, and small-scale industrial development.
Project Lead and Chief Convener of the summit, Pharm. Abiodun Ajibade, said the programme responds to the urgent need to redirect youthful energy beyond technology and entertainment into the productive sector, which remains central to long-term national economic stability.
He noted that the summit is structured to promote a mindset shift from consumption to production, innovation, and value addition, particularly in areas where Nigeria has comparative advantages.
Participants will be a talked through practical sessions on regulatory requirements, product registration processes , and export readiness guidelines required to access both local and international markets.
