Itire-Ikate LCDA Chairman warns Youth against cultism and other unlawful activities

Hoodlums and trouble makers have been warned to stay away from Itire-Ikate Local Council Area.

Chairman of the Council Development Area, Dr. Ahmed Apatira in a chat with our Correspondent pointed out that government would no longer tolerate activities of cultists and other unlawful activities, saying measures were in place to bring their operations to halt.

This follows increasing spate of cult clashes, and other criminal activities in the area in the last few days.

According to Dr. Apatira, his administration will continue to ensure the safety of lives and property of residents of the area.

“We warn potential trouble makers, hoodlums and other men of the underworld to avoid engaging in unlawful activities as measures are in place to bring them to justice” He stated

The council boss added “I expect maximum cooperation from members of the community, to provide useful information and report suspicious movement in and around them to law enforcement agencies”

He called on members of the public to put a stop to the habit of soliciting pardon for suspects apprehended by law enforcement agencies.

This is sequel to recent unrest at Ogunsami, Omilani, Adeshina and Airways streets as well as adjoining environs.
