Popular cleric, Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi, widely known as Iya Adura, has encouraged women to remain bold in faith, committed to family values and dedicated to service to humanity.
She gave the advice while speaking live on the maiden edition of Bold and Golden, a Metro 97.7FM, Lagos as part of activities marking International Women’s Day 2026.
“Bold and Golden,” is a four Monday special programme that is meant to celebrate rare women , who has weathered the storm to hit the pentacle of life in their chosen endeavor, throughout this month.

Faith and Commitment to Purpose
Reverend Mother Ajayi noted that women can achieve success in their personal lives, families and spiritual callings when they commit their plans to God.
She explained that the strength to balance ministry, family life and humanitarian service comes from total reliance on God.
Quoting the scripture which says, “Not by power, nor by might, but by my Spirit,” the cleric stressed that divine guidance makes seemingly difficult tasks easier.
According to her, when a person commits fully to God’s mission, the burden of success no longer rests on human strength alone.

Balancing Family and Ministry
The popular prayer leader also highlighted the importance of maintaining strong family relationships despite demanding schedules.
She shared personal experiences of spending time with her husband despite a busy ministry schedule, noting that mutual understanding and prayer have helped sustain their marriage.
Reverend Mother Ajayi explained that she often creates time for family activities, including sharing meals and praying together after ministry engagements.

Humanitarian Service
She also recounted her involvement in humanitarian work, including supporting life-saving medical interventions for vulnerable children.
The cleric narrated a particular experience involving a young girl who required surgery in India, explaining how she and her husband travelled with the child’s family to ensure the medical procedure was successful.
According to her, the family had never travelled by air before, but the trip became a life-changing experience for them.

Message to Women
Reverend Mother Ajayi urged women to embrace humility, dedication and faith while pursuing their goals.
She stressed that when women remain focused on God and family values, they can positively impact not only their homes but also society at large.
International Women’s Day is celebrated annually to recognise the achievements and contributions of women across the world while advocating gender equality and empowerment.
