The Kano State Government has vowed to crack down on individuals using motorcycles for commercial purposes across the state.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Danladi Idris Karfi, revealed this while briefing journalists in Kano, expressing concern over the resurgence of commercial motorcycle operations within the metropolitan area.
Karfi noted that the trend poses a significant threat to peaceful coexistence in the state.
He emphasized that the law banning commercial motorcycle operations remains effective and will be strictly enforced, warning that violators will face the full weight of the law.
He reiterated that Kano remains one of the most peaceful states in the country, and the government will not tolerate actions capable of jeopardizing the prevailing peace.
The Special Adviser urged residents to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious activity to security agencies in order to help protect lives and property.
