Lagos Approves Loans for 265 Teachers, Non-Teaching Staff

The Lagos State Government has approved loan applications for 265 teaching and non-teaching staff to support car refurbishment and housing needs.

The approval was granted during the bi-annual meeting of the Teachers Loan Board, chaired by the Permanent Secretary of the Teaching Service Commission, Mrs. Bopo Oyekan-Ismaila, at the Commission’s headquarters in Ikeja.

According to Mrs. Oyekan-Ismaila, the initiative is vital for retaining skilled educators and strengthening their commitment to service.

She added that the Joint Negotiating Council’s recommendation for an upward review of housing loans has been forwarded to the Governor and is receiving due attention.
