The Lagos State Government has installed Prince Surakat Noah Olayiwola Adefimihan as the new Oba of Idimu in Egbe-Idimu LCDA, in line with the Obas and Chiefs Law, Cap O2, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
At the installation ceremony held at Ikosi Compound, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mr. Bolaji Robert, presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to the monarch, symbolising the authority and responsibilities of his office.
The Governor commended the Onigbehin Ruling House for a united selection process following the passing of the late Oba Olayemi Azeez Adewale Dada Aluko Olugoke II on May 14, 2023.
He urged the new Oba to foster unity, drive community development, and work closely with other traditional rulers and the LCDA for the progress of Idimu.
Egbe-Idimu LCDA Chairman, Prince Idris Balogun, described Oba Adefimihan’s ascension as a blessing to the community, pledging his administration’s full support for a peaceful and prosperous reign.
