The Lagos State Security Trust Fund has begun sustained aerial surveillance operations across the state in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force Airwing Command to strengthen intelligence-led policing and public safety.

The maiden low-altitude flight covered Lagos Island and parts of the mainland, demonstrating rapid response capability and real-time monitoring of security flashpoints.
Executive Secretary Ayo Ogunsan described the initiative as a strategic investment in modern security infrastructure, adding that continuous patrols would deter criminal activities and support coordinated security operations.
Airwing Commissioner Martin Nwogoh said the exercise highlights the effectiveness of aerial support in surveillance, rescue missions and tactical deployment.
Lagos Commissioner of Police Olohundare Jimoh noted that the patrols would improve coordination between ground and maritime operations to combat crime statewide.
