Lagos state government has partnered Naija Brand Chicks Trade Fair to generate about five billion naira for the economy in three days and to grow the Micro, Small and Medium Scale entrepreneurs, MSMEs in Lagos.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr Idris Aregbe, made this known at a news conference at Alausa.
Mr Aregbe who noted that two hundred MSMEs would participate in the Trade Fair which will come up in June, said the development is to promote artistic endeavours and propel the State’s tourism sector as a cornerstone of economic development.
The Special Adviser on Tourism Arts and Culture emphasised the commitment of the Sanwo-Olu’s administration to nurturing the diverse cultural heritage of Lagos to the global market for economic progress.
On her part, the Chairperson of NBC Trade Fair, Mrs Nelly Agbogu, who noted that entry is free for all Lagos residents assured traders of adequate security of lives and property during the period.
A partner of the NBC Trade Fair, Mrs Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi said he supported the fair because of its impact on medium and small enterprises and the need to promote tourism.
The Trade Fair will showcase convergence of different sectors like lifestyle and fashion, personal care, arts and crafts, among others.
