The Pilgrims who are currently in Israel from Lagos State have expressed their spiritual fulfilment and gratitude for the well-organised pilgrimage, praising the Government for the excellent welfare package and value for their money and time.

Some of the pilgrims who spoke with newsmen in Israel said the ongoing pilgrimage has brought lots of fulfilment in the spiritual journey with testimonies of deep understanding of the Bible and the basis of their Christian faith being shared.
Secretary of the Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Dr Gbolabo Okudero commended the pilgrims for their obedience, spirituality, and active participation, noting that they prioritise spiritual growth over other interests.
He noted that the pilgrims are truly working in the spirit of the journey, saying they know why they are there which is about spirituality, not shopping or jamboree.

The pilgrims have visited significant sites in Bethlehem, including the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Pool of Bethesda, Mount Zion, the Shepherd’s Field, Church of Nativity, and Garden of Gethsemane, amongst others.
They are set to explore Nazareth’s historic landmarks, such as the Basilica of the Annunciation and Jesus’ Childhood Home, marking the final days of the 1st batch of the 2025 pilgrimage exercise.
