The Lagos State government has reiterated its commitment to supporting stakeholders in the education sector both at the federal and state levels for efficient service delivery.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made the commitment when the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede led a delegation on a courtesy visit to him at the Lagos House Alausa, Ikeja.
Governor Sanwo-Olu who commended the leadership of JAMB for its excellence and credibility, promised to provide a conducive environment for them as requested in Ojo, Festac, Ikorodu and Mile 12 as Computer Based Test, CBT centers for JAMB candidates in Lagos.
Earlier, JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede lauded the achievement of the Sanwo-Olu administration and requested the Governor to provide land for building massive CBT centers in Lagos to accommodate more candidates during Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination as done in other states like Rivers, Imo, Nasarrawa, Kaduna and Kano.
The JAMB Registrar said that fifteen percent of annual candidates are from Lagos, with less than ten percent CBT centers to accommodate them.
