LASU Students charged to be security conscious

Students of the Lagos S University, LASU, have been advised to be security conscious within and outside the school campus

The Vice chancellor, LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello gave the advice at the 2021/2022 matriculation of the University held at the Ojo campus, lagos.

She explained that while the security of students in the university would continue to be in the front burner of the school management, the students also needed to cooperate with the management by reporting suspicious activities that might affect the security situation of the school negatively.

The Vice Chancellor stressed that the University has come up with an online Safety Application through which students could lay their complain so that the school authority could
take necessary action in case the students were faced with security challenges.

Prof. Olatunji-Bello said while the university would focus on imparting high class knowlege in the students, it would not condone any act of indiscipline from the students.

She advised the new students not involve themselves in any form of anti-social activity as this might result to their being purnished severely by the University management.

She urged them to be serious with their academics throughout their stay in LASU as the university has a reward system in place for whoever performed well with four point five Grade Point Average, GPA, for a period of time during the stay in the university.

Professor Olatunji-Bello however, announced that out of more than twenty-five thousand students that applied for admission in the University, Six thousand, Three Hundred and Seventy-Seven of them were admitted.
