Meanwhile… FRCN Director General promises to reposition corporation.

The Director General FRCN , Dr Mohammed Bulama has promised to transform and reposition the corporation by giving priority to the welfare of members of staff, regular training, deployment of modern and smart technology, as well as  alternative source of energy , among other key areas.

Dr Bulama gave the assurance at a meeting with the members of staff of the National Broadcast Academy, NBA, the training arm of the FRCN Shogunle Lagos, after conducting an on the spot assessment of facilities at the NBA and Bond 92.9 FM .

The FRCN Director General who described the challenges confronting the corporation as enormous but resolvable , urged the members of staff to support the leadership of the corporation.

Dr Bulama expressed worry that there had been a lot of misrepresentation of Nigeria in the media space both local and international because the government owned media outfits have been lagging behind in their responsibilities of using modern technology to project positive happenings in the country.

The FRCN Director General who promised to operate an on door policy ,  urged members of staff in Lagos to always put their best to work to achieve all set objectives of the corporation.

Dr Bulama also urged the management of Bond FM to create more indigenous radio contents, aside the Yoruba, lgbo and Hausa which it already has, to reach many ethnic groups yet unreached, considering the cosmopolitan nature of Lagos state.

Earlier, the Director National Broadcast Academy, Mr Danladi Kwache who thanked the Director General for his visit to the academy, urged him to urgently consider the upgrade of facilities in the institution, in line with global best practices in broadcast training.

Mr Kwache pledged the continuous support of the leadership of the academy to set objectives of the FRCN Director General and management.

Other management staff in the entourage of the FRCN Director General were the Director Lagos Operations, Mrs Bolanle Owoyemi , NBA Director Physical Planning , Prince Eugene Doru and the General Manager, Bond 92.9 FM , Princess Adenike Adegoke
