Minister Urges Nigerian Women to Lead in Nation Building

The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has urged Nigerian women to rise above barriers and take their rightful place in nation-building.

Speaking at the Lagos State APC Women Summit themed “Arise. Aspire. Ascend,” the minister declared that when a woman ascends, the entire nation rises.

She praised Nigerian women for their resilience and remarkable achievements across farming, trade, business, politics, and innovation, describing the summit’s theme as a “timeless anthem” that reflects women’s strength and aspirations.

Hajia Sulaiman-Ibrahim also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritising women, children, and vulnerable groups under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

She further applauded the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for advancing women’s concerns through the Renewed Hope Initiative.
