Muri-Okunola Pulled Out of Lagos Public Service

The immediate past Head of Service in Lagos State, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola has been pulled out of service to mark his official retirement from the state public service.

At the ceremony in Alausa Ikeja, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said Mr Muri-Okunola was a diligent public servant who took decisions in the best interest of the workforce as the 21st Head of Service.

The incumbent Head of Service, Mr Bode Agoro said Mr Muri-Okunola was dedicated to the service of the State and contributed to uplifting the standard of the state public service.

Delivering his farewell speech after the ceremonial signing out of the State Public Service, Mr Muri-Okunola thanked Governor Sanwo-Olu for providing the leadership needed for him to excel. 

Dignitaries at the pull-out ceremony included Governor Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman of Kwara State.

Mr Muri-Okunola served as the twenty-first Lagos State Head of Service from 28th September 2018 to 29th September 2023 when he became the Principal Private Secretary to President Bola Tinubu.
