The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Captain Chris Najomo, has reiterated that the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) remains committed to ensuring safe, secure, and passenger-friendly air transport in the country.
Captain Najomo made the assertion when the Country Manager of Air France in Nigeria, Mr. Jean-Luc Mevellec, and the airline’s Key Account Manager, Ms. Antonia Kenosa Umunna, paid him a familiarization visit at the NCAA Headquarters in Abuja.
Welcoming the Air France delegation, Captain Najomo commended the airline for its long-standing partnership with Nigeria and expressed optimism about sustaining the cordial relationship.
He urged the airline to continue prioritizing customer service, timely communication of flight information, and constructive engagement with NCAA’s Consumer Protection Officers at terminals, particularly during service disruptions.
During the visit, discussions focused on strengthening consumer protection and timely submission of winter schedules for regulatory approvals.
Others are compliance with the Ministerial directive on the use of Nigerian catering services for outbound flights, and the airline’s deployment of Airbus A350 aircraft on the Abuja route.
The forthcoming presentation on eco-piloting and carbon dioxide management in Lagos also featured in the talks.
