Chairman National Executive Council, NCF, Chief Ede Dafinone
The Nigerian Conservation Foundation, NCF, has expressed the determination to engage all sectors of the economy in restoring the nation’s forest cover under its Green Recovery Nigeria initiative.
At an event in Lagos, the Chairman National Executive Council, NCF, Chief Ede Dafinone said, almost two million tree seedlings have already been planted across the country.
Chief Dafinone who said that, the trees were planted with the support of the Federal Government, corporate organisations and international partners believed that, expanding partnership to other sectors, especially youth based Organisations, would expedite the process.
He emphasised that the foundation’s vision of “a Nigeria where people prosper while living in harmony with nature” remained the motivating factor in delivering its mission.
The NCF Chairman stated that, everywhere across the nation, NCF had continued to see opportunities to make an impact, effect change and mobilize people to action.
He added that as an organization that believed in collaboration, NCF would continue to strengthen relationships with both local and international partners , while increasing its advocacy efforts in achieving an attitudinal change in dealing with the environment.
