NCS Ups Security with New X-Ray Technology

To streamline trade operations and enhance security, the Nigeria Customs Service has installed a new Advanced Cargo Screening X-ray Machine at the Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC’s warehouse.

The equipment, inaugurated by the Customs Controller in charge of the Hajj and Cargo Terminal, Mr. M. Awe, aims to improve the efficiency and security of cargo screening.

During the inauguration event, Controller Awe highlighted that the new X-ray machine is a crucial part of the Customs Service’s strategy to simplify trade processes, increase transparency, and facilitate legitimate trade while upholding national security.

The technology is expected to dramatically cut down processing times, making cargo handling faster and more reliable.

The new machine is anticipated to enhance operational efficiency and boost confidence among stakeholders in Nigeria’s cargo system.

SAHCO, known for its modern Ground Support Equipment, continues to leverage cutting-edge technology to ensure seamless export and import activities across all commercially operated airports in the country.
