Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a travel agency CEO, a healthcare worker, and a cargo agent after intercepting 3.6 kilograms of cocaine at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.
NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, said the drugs were concealed in 70 parcels hidden inside the walls of body cream containers heading to the United Kingdom.
Following the discovery on October 14, the agency arrested Mutiu Adebayo Adebiyi, CEO of a travel agency, and Ogunmuyide Taiwo Deborah, a healthcare worker, in connection with the shipment.

In a related operation, NDLEA operatives stormed Proxy Night Club in Victoria Island, arresting its owner, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu (popularly known as Pretty Mike), along with over 100 patrons during an alleged drug party.
Substances including Loud and laughing gas were seized.
a Lesotho national
At the Enugu Airport, a Lesotho national, Lemena Mark, was arrested while attempting to export methamphetamine to the Philippines.
21,950 tramadol capsules
Nationwide, the agency also intercepted 21,950 tramadol capsules hidden inside a water heater in Kwara and 450,000 tramadol pills in Taraba.
Additional seizures included large quantities of skunk, cannabis, and “skuchies” across Kogi, Nasarawa, Ondo, Kaduna, Abia, and at the Seme border.
In Zamfara, NDLEA operatives arrested Abubakar Ibrahim with an AK-47 rifle and 1,746 rounds of ammunition, handing him over to security authorities.
