NDLEA Cracks Down on Illicit Parties: Berrymist Lounge Raided in Osogbo as Nationwide Anti-Drug Operations Escalate

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, on Saturday 24th November conducted a raid at Berrymist Lounge in Osogbo, Osun state, where organizers of a night party named “Unholy Alliance…for Stoners and Drunkards” were planning illicit substance abuse.

According to the Director, Media and Advocacy, NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, the raid led to the arrests of three persons namely, Ikotu Omolayo (25), Fola Olabode (30), and Akorede Adunni Ajibola (22). 

The lounge management he said, is currently under investigation, adding this followed a previous raid on November 23rd in Ile-Ife, recovering 156kgs of cannabis sativa. 

Similar operations occurred in Ogun, Edo, Lagos, Anambra, Kogi, and Ekiti states, targeting drug traffickers and uncovering significant quantities of illicit substances.

Additionally, the NDLEA conducted War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) sensitization lectures across various states and communities.
