A Lekki-based businessman, Arokodare Damil Ebenezer, 43, proprietor of Damillionz Takeout, has been apprehended by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in connection with the importation of 60 parcels of “Loud,” a potent strain of cannabis, from the United States.

According to a statement by the spokesman, NDLEA, Mr Femi Babafemi, Ebenezer was arrested on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Bay Lounge, Admiralty Way, Lekki, while awaiting delivery of the illicit cargo.
He said, the arrest followed the seizure of seven large cartons containing the drugs, which arrived in Nigeria on March 12, at a logistics company in Lagos.
The statement explains that, NDLEA operatives from the Directorate of Operations and General Investigation conducted the operation and a subsequent search of Ebenezer’s residence in Lekki yielded an additional 94 grams of the same substance, along with a cannabis crusher and other drug paraphernalia, bringing the total weight of seized drugs to 32.24 kilograms.
Ebenezer confessed to initiating his drug trafficking operations in 2017.
In a separate incident at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, NDLEA officers thwarted an attempt by Omoruyi Terry to export 1,400 pills of tramadol 225mg, weighing 800 grams, to Italy.

The suspect, a frequent traveller and logistics agent based in Italy, was intercepted at the Terminal 2 screening point while preparing to board a Qatar Airways flight.
Investigations are said to be ongoing.
