The National Emergency Management Agency, Lagos Operation Office, has commenced year 2025 Operation Eagle Eye in collaboration with Lagos and Ogun FRSC Sector Commands at OPIC Junction, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway corridor.
Head of Operation, Mr. Olatunde Mohammed made this known while on inspection alongside the FRSC Sector Commander, Mr Kehinde Hamzat as well as the Ogun State Sector Commander Mr Fasakin.
He said the collaboration was to ensure free flow of traffic on the already congested route due to high influx of motorists/commuters heading to various destinations for the yuletide.
According to him, the heavy traffic outward Lagos State had built up due to the high volume of vehicular movement which would be controlled and monitored by both NEMA and FRSC officials.
NEMA LOO supported the FRSC with its MICU and SAR Extricating units in case of vehicular accidents.
He cautioned drivers against over-speeding to avoid accidents before, during and after yuletide.
