New NCAA Directors assume office, urged to take Civil service rules and regulations serious

The Director General, Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, Captain Musa Nuhu has called on the newly appointed directors in the agency to use their wealth of experience to sustain the growth and safety of the industry.

This is just as he urged them to be willing and patient to learn the public and civil service regulations to succeed in the mandate given them.

Captain Nuhu who made the call at the handover ceremony in Abuja said, it would take time for somebody who had spent all his life in the private sector to fit in and understand the public and civil service regulations.

To assist such ones fit in seamlessly, Captain Nuhu assured that arrangements were already in place for an in-house training to arm them for the job ahead.

“To assist them fit smoothly into the system with the technical background and quick understanding of all the public and civil service rules”.

The NCAA boss said, the new Directors were experienced in their various fields and would use their many years and wealth of experience to positively impact the agency.

“So, he brings a lot of experience of the public and civil service rules and regulations which government agency must comply with it is a very possible addition”.

The NCAA boss commended the outgone directors for being team players, bridge builders and problem solvers.

Two of the new Directors, Captain Chris Najomo, Director Air Transport Regulations and Alhaji Adamu Wakili, Director, Human Resources and Administration, promised to justify the confidence reposed in them in carrying out their responsibilities diligently.

“With your support and cooperation to guide me to be able to be able to function and succeed”.”I know I have a lot to do, I will try and work with everyone religiously”.

Highlights of the ceremony was the handing over of notes by the former directors to their successors.

Last week, the Minister of Aviation Senator Hadi Sirika announced the appointments and redeployment of directors and key officers across three aviation agencies.

Other Directors appointed are Mr. Ajiboye Isiaka, for Directorate of Airworthiness Standards and Administration and Mr. Bahagio Agio Directorate of Licensing and Training Standards.
