The Jedidiah Divine Home of Love (JEDLOF), a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), has covered the National Examinations Council (NECO) registration fees for 20 final-year secondary school students, amounting to over ₦700,000.

The beneficiaries included 10 students from Ikeja High School and 10 others drawn from various schools.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, JEDLOF founder, Dr. Ebele Okoye, explained that the initiative was part of her divine calling to support those in need.

She said the gesture aligns with the organisation’s empowerment efforts to alleviate economic hardship in the country.

Dr. Okoye revealed that JEDLOF had initially planned to sponsor students’ WAEC and JAMB fees but shifted focus to NECO after discovering it was too late for the earlier registrations.

Encouraging the beneficiaries to excel in their studies, Dr. Okoye urged them to justify the foundation’s investment by achieving good results.

A JEDLOF coordinator, Mrs. Peace Okoye, noted that the NECO sponsorship was one of four initiatives scheduled for the year as part of the organisation’s outreach programme.

She emphasized the importance of education and urged the students to take their studies seriously, adding that JEDLOF would return to assess their performance.

“We recognize the importance of education and are committed to supporting these students”.

Parents of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Dr. Okoye for her generosity, praying for her continued success.
