NIGCOMSAT Task To Improve Nation’s Digital Economy… New CEO.

The Nigerian Communications Satellite, NIGCOMSAT has been assigned a critical role by the government to improve the nation’s digital economy.

Accelerating collective prosperity through technical efficiency, particularly infrastructure.

This was made known by the New Chief Executive Officer of NIGCOMSAT, Mrs. Jane Egerton-Idehen while briefing newsmen at the inspection of facilities and interaction with stakeholders at the Lagos Regional Office.

Mrs. Egerton-Idehen said the company is aware of the market landscape that is changing due to new technologies and noted that it is committed to raising its competitiveness with emerging technologies by meeting the five critical pillars set by the government to build a strong digital economy.

” As challenging as the responsibility may seem, it is not unachievable, as NIGCOMSAT a critical infrastructure of the Federal Government, is positioned to achieve the five pillars of the ministry’s blueprint, which are knowledge, policy, infrastructure, trade, and capital, innovation entrepreneurship commitment to building a strong digital economy “.

Mrs. Egerton-Idehen explained that having perused the strategic blueprints of the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, it will thrive to deliver the mandate of creating a roadmap that is relevant to the market, that the Minister Dr. Bosun Tijani has set to achieve.

She said media professionals have always been the key to creating visibility industries different industries and appealed for their support in achieving its goals.

” We are aware of the ever-changing market landscape due to new technologies and market entrance and we are determined to increase our relevance. it is important that we strike that balance to innovate and remain innovated”
