Nigeria Air Getting Set to Fly, Receives ATL


The proposed national carrier for Nigeria, christened Nigeria Air Limited has been issued an Air Transport Licence (ATL), by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA.

The issuance of the license reveals the type of operations to be embarked on by the carrier.

In the license presented by the Director General, NCAA, Capt. Musa Nuhu and received by the Management team of the soon to be born airline led by Capt. Dapo Olumide revealed that, the airline will operate scheduled, non-scheduled passenger and air cargo services.

In his twitter handle, the Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika says, the commencement date of domestic operations will be announced in due course.

Earlier in the year, the DG NCAA had revealed that, the airline had commenced the process for the acquisition of the Air Operator’s Certificate, AOC, which is the final document required to kick start operations by the carrier.

The take off of operations is slated for next month as earlier announced by the aviation minister.
