Nigeria Ready for Rwanda Women’s World Cup Qualifying

The Falconets will jet out of Nigeria tomorrow for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup African qualifier against their Rwandan opponents.

The Nigerian ladies concluded their final training session yesterday at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja as they stepped up preparations for the qualifier on 21 September 2025 at the Kigali Pele Stadium.

The camp in Abuja, which opened last week, focused on tactical drills, fitness work, and set-piece routines, with the coaching crew fine-tuning strategies to ensure the girls are sharp and ready for the crucial tie.

The players also engaged in closed-door practice games to test combinations and build team chemistry.

Nigeria will host the second leg of the qualifying at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan , Oyo State on 27 September 2025.
