The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar has assumed the Chairmanship of the Association of the African Air Forces, AAAF.
Speaking at the African Air Chiefs’ symposium in Zambia, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar emphasized the need for African-led solutions to the continent’s security challenges.
In a statement by the Director Public Relations and Information of the NAF, Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, the Air Chief highlighted the importance of regional collaboration and strategic partnerships in strengthening African Airpower capabilities and addressing common threats.
He stressed that enhanced co-operation among African Air Forces was crucial to tackling emerging security challenges such as terrorism, insurgency and transnational crime.
Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar noted that the symposium was a demonstration of commitment towards a safer, more secure and more prosperous Africa.
He called for renewed commitment from all members states, stressing that unity and co-operation remain critical to achieving the Association’s objectives.
According to the statement, the AAAF is a non-politcal organisation dedicated to enhancing airpower capability and co-operation among African nations.
