NSCDC Deploys Personnel as Lagos Hosts Presidential Project Commissioning

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, deployed a large number of operatives across key locations during the presidential working visit to Lagos on April 8 and 9, 2026.

State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Keshinro, stated that the strategic deployment was aimed at strengthening security and ensuring the safety of lives and property before, during, and after the commissioning of major projects by the state government.


According to him, the operation was part of a coordinated security effort supporting initiatives led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

NSCDC personnel collaborated closely with the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to maintain law and order throughout the events.


Security coverage extended to multiple project sites, including the Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information Service (LAGIS) Centre, the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (ABAT) EGIS Data Centre (ABAT III), the Multi-Agency Building at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administrative Complex, and the Tolu Schools Complex.

The schedule also featured the unveiling of a visual documentary book highlighting the governor’s achievements.


Keshinro emphasized that officers were fully mobilized with clear operational directives, leveraging their expertise and professionalism to ensure seamless execution of duties across all venues.


He further commended Governor Sanwo-Olu and his administration for their sustained commitment to infrastructure development and urban renewal across Lagos State.
