The Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) has confirmed that the 2025 Championship draw will hold on Wednesday, September 3, in Abuja.
According to the NWFL Chief Operating Officer, Modupe Shabi, the draw will be conducted online at the league secretariat and streamed live to ensure wider access and transparency.
Seventeen clubs will be placed into four groups, with winners from each group clinching automatic promotion to the 2025/2026 NWFL Premiership season.
The NWFL urged all participating clubs to be duly represented, noting that the draw marks a major milestone in preparations for the September 11–21 competition in Abia State.
A dedicated livestream link will be shared with stakeholders and the media ahead of the event.
