NYSC to tackle spread of Covid-19 in camps with stringent measures, partners NCDC

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC has rolled out stringent measures against COVID-19 as all camps across the Country re-open for Batch B Stream 2 orientation.
Some of the measures are staggering of registration to ensure physical distance, testing of all prospective corps members, staff of the scheme and visitors before access is granted into the Camps, as well as the fumigation and decontamination of camps.
The Director, Press and Public Relations in the NYSC, Mrs. Adenike Adeyemi gave the indications while addressing newsmen in Abuja.
The Director Press and Public Relations, Mrs Adenike Adeyemi said already, the scheme had received test kits from different organizations and that anyone that tests positive would not be allowed into the Orientation camps.
Mrs. Adenike explained that the scheme was collaborating with the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, to determine the number of corps members to be accommodated in each of the camps.
Mrs. Adenike stated that the scheme was also in collaboration with all security agencies to ensure the safety of everyone participating in the orientation course.
She said that the Director General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim had during a virtual meeting advised prospective corps members to be security conscious and avoid traveling at night.
