The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Chief Mudashiru Obasa, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as steadfast and impactful leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Obasa spoke as Chairman at the 20th Annual Ramadan Lecture hosted by Mr. Nureni Akinsanya, member representing Mushin Constituency I in the Assembly.
Drawing parallels between Islamic governance principles and contemporary leadership, Obasa said effective leadership is rooted in service, vision and accountability to the people.
He noted that Tinubu’s administration has focused on stabilising the economy, strengthening democratic institutions and improving governance structures nationwide.
The Speaker pointed to reforms in energy, transportation and infrastructure as indicators of measurable progress, adding that the President’s policies reflect core Islamic values of justice, responsibility and transparency.
“President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is laying the foundation for a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria,” Obasa stated.
He further urged Nigerians to sustain their support for the President ahead of the 2027 general election, stressing that unity and collective commitment are essential for continued national development.
The lecture, themed “Islamic Injunction and Leadership,” was held in memory of the late Moshood Akanbi Akinsanya, father of the host lawmaker.
The event attracted scholars, community leaders and dignitaries, and served as both a spiritual and civic engagement forum.
