The Association of Distinguished Citizens of Ode Remo (ADCOR) in the ancient town of Ode Remo, in Remo North Local Government Area of Ogun State, has celebrated two of their illustrious sons, Honourables Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo ( BAO) and Paul Kalejaiye.

It was a heartwarming civic reception in honour of Chief Olabinjo representing Ifako Ijaye and Chief Paul Kalejaiye, representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun, both of Lagos State at the National Assembly.

The various speakers expressed their support and goodwill to the newly inaugurated members of the Federal House of Representatives.

Addressing the gathering, the Alaye Ode Remo, Oba Adetunji Osho said the two federal lawmakers had demonstrated a great sense of responsibility by investing their resources in the development of the town.

Oba Adetunji Osho, who represented the Royal Father of the day, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, the Akarigbo of Remo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, advised other sons and daughters of the town to emulate the lawmakers by striving to add value to the people, noting that nature would always reward acts of kindness.

Expressing his feelings at the occasion, Chief Olabinjo stated that nothing can be compared to the feeling of receiving honour from one’s kinsmen.

‘There are these humbling and happy feelings that it evokes, that your own flesh and blood single you out for recognition and special celebration. I consider it a great achievement, he said.

Also speaking, Chief Paul Kalejaye gave the assurance that he would continue to extend the dividends of democratic governance to the people through constituency projects with a view to boosting grassroots development.

The two legislators graced the occasion with their families and friends.

The event was graced by eminent sons and daughters of Remo and Ijebuland, including the Oba Mukaila Akanji Olabinjo, Eleposo of Eposo, and Oba Samuel Olatunji Kalejaiye, Nloku of Iraye.
