OGITECH encourages JAMB Registrar, Oloyede, lauds responsibility acceptance

The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH) Igbesa, Ogun State has encouraged the Registrar, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Prof. Is-haq Oloyede over the glitches the body experienced in the just concluded JAMB examination.

The Igbesa Ogun-based institute, lauded Oloyede’s responsibility acceptance over the anomaly in a letter of solidarity addressed to JAMB,signed by its Rector, Dr Abiodun Oluseye.

The glitches that caused candidates mass failure and public outcry forced JAMB to conduct a resit of the examination with many calling for the resignation of the registrar.

Oluseye said that, on behalf of the management of the OGITECH, I write to express our solidarity with you and the entire JAMB organisation regarding the unfortunate incident that occurred during the just concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The rector said that, while the incident was regrettable we appreciate your action of acknowledging the glitches encountered that was a testament to your rare transparency, courage, humility, commitment to truth and integrity.

“In fact it is a reminder that true leaders must be courageous enough to confront challenges.

“I must affirm that JAMB continues to play a crucial role in shaping the academic future of the Nigerian students.

“Therefore, OGITECH stands by you at this time in solidarity as we have observed your leadership of the body over the years stands flawless,” he said.

Oluseye stressed that the institute encourage the registrar to continue on the path of industry, honour, professionalism for which the JAMB boss was known.

He prayed for God’s guidance and direction to the examination executive to overcome the times.
