The Chairperson of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, Mrs. Oluyemisi Rosiji, has pledged to prioritize grassroots economic development, tackle malnutrition, and expand support for small and medium-scale enterprises across the council.
She made the commitment during a visit to an industry, where she held discussions with the company’s management team led by Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Duro Kuteyi.
Rosiji emphasized that her administration will collaborate with stakeholders to improve residents’ well-being, noting that child malnutrition and stunted growth remain urgent issues that must be addressed.
As part of her strategy, she said traders will be encouraged to form cooperative societies to enable bulk purchase of food items and commodities, helping to reduce costs and ensure affordable prices within the community.
The council boss also disclosed that plans are underway to engage consultants to provide skill acquisition training for women and youths, equipping more residents with sustainable sources of livelihood.
She assured that her administration is committed to inclusiveness, stressing that “nobody will be left behind” in efforts to uplift lives in Ojokoro.
