Ondo State authorities have warned that motorcyclists caught riding without crash helmets on highways will be arrested.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander in the state, Mr. Samuel Ibitoye, issued the warning in Akure while addressing journalists.
Ibitoye noted that crashes involving motorcyclists without helmets often end in fatalities, with victims suffering severe head injuries, broken skulls, and shattered limbs.
He urged all riders including traditionalists, religious leaders, and title-holders to comply with safety regulations, stressing that road accidents do not respect religion, culture, or social status.
