Preparations for the upcoming National Sports Festival Delta 2022 hit top gear today with Nigeria’s Sports Minister Sunday Dare leading members of the Main Organising Committee MOC on an inspection tour of facilities earmarked for the fiesta.
The inspection came after today’s joint technical meeting in Asaba involving the Minister, the MOC, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) and other stakeholders of the event.
This year’s biennial games have been expanded to include some African countries like Ghana, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, Benin Republic and Sierra Leone.
Over 16,000 athletes from across the country will converge on Delta State to compete for medals in 40 sports from November 2 to 15, 2022.
