Orile Agege residents in Lagos State benefitted from a successful free medical outreach organized by Refuge Network International (RNI) on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
The initiative, focused on accessible healthcare, provided essential medical services including health education, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, BMI assessment, urinalysis, HIV testing, dental and optical screenings, physiotherapy, medical consultations, and free drugs.
Hygiene and personal care items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorants, baby wipes, menstrual pads, mouthwash, and body lotions were also distributed to participants, ensuring comprehensive support for community wellness.
Fatimo, who coordinated the field operations, noted the high community engagement and described the outreach as the most impactful ever conducted in the area.
Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Seliatu Rhoda Ohimor, Co-Country Director of RNI Nigeria, emphasized the importance of grassroots interventions in improving health outcomes.
Godfrey Ovie, Co-Country Director, added, “Your life is too small to be the only reason why you are existing, and healthcare is primary. So we go down to the grassroots to further support primary healthcare.”
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the outreach, praising the quality of care and free services.
Mrs. Nurat Onopemikpo highlighted the comprehensive services and free drugs, Omowumi Balogun appreciated the care received, Mrs. Akindele encouraged RNI to continue similar efforts, and Olabisi Segun expressed happiness at the initiative.
The Baale of Orile Agege, High Chief Simeon Olufunsho Itogbe, described the outreach as “very impressive.”

Leaders such as Mr. Solomon Ademola, Yetunde Iluyomade & Jagila Coleman Sunday received special recognition for their exceptional contributions, including certificates and cash rewards, highlighting RNI’s dedication to excellence and grassroots impact.
