The 4th edition of the FRCN Lagos Children’s Sports Fiesta lit up the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, with exciting football and athletics action on Friday, May 30, 2025.
The event, organized by FRCN Lagos, featured 12 junior secondary schools in the boys’ Five-A-Side football and 6 senior secondary schools in the girls’ category.
It also included 100m sprints and relays for boys and girls.
Prella College claimed the boys’ football trophy after a series of intense matches, while Mighty Pillars School triumphed in the girls’ final, defeating Helifest School.
In athletics, Chinedu Umeh (Arch of the Lord Missionary School) won gold in the boys’ 100m, followed by Taiwo Adejumo (Prella College) and Mohammed Umar (Kings College).
The girls’ race saw Favour Ibe (Ikpe Private School) take gold, with Bosol and Aquinas Private School earning silver and bronze respectively.
All finalists received trophies and other prizes.
The FRCN Sports Fiesta continues to grow as a key platform for discovering and nurturing young talent through fun and healthy competition.
