Princess Adenike Adegoke Appointed New FRCN Lagos Director

A new Director has been appointed for the Lagos Operations of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).

She is Princess Adenike Adegoke, who until recently served as the Director of Academic Planning at the National Broadcast Academy (NBA).

Princess Adegoke succeeds Mrs. Bolanle Owoyemi, who retired from public service after attaining the mandatory retirement age of 60.

Mrs. Owoyemi made the announcement during a meeting with members of the Committee of Management (COM) while officially handing over to her successor at the Broadcasting House, Ikoyi.

The outgoing Director expressed gratitude to the management team for their support during her tenure. She urged them to extend the same cooperation to Princess Adegoke, advising her to be a leader who consults widely before making decisions.

In her response, Princess Adegoke said she was delighted to return to FRCN after eight years and sought the cooperation of management and staff to move the corporation to greater heights.

Speaking on behalf of the COM, Mr. Fred Shaka-Braimah, Deputy Director of News and Current Affairs, welcomed her back and wished her success in her new role.

The highlight of the meeting was the cutting of a 60th birthday cake in honour of Mrs. Owoyemi.
