Radio Nigeria , Yoruba Presenters Forge Stronger Cultural Bond in Lagos Meeting

The Director of Lagos Operations, Radio Nigeria, Princess Adenike Adegoke, has reaffirmed the station’s commitment to deepening its long-standing relationship with the Yoruba Presenters Association of Nigeria, describing the partnership as one rooted in culture, trust, and shared purpose.

Princess Adegoke gave the assurance when the association, led by its President, Mr. Musbau Alade, paid her a courtesy visit at the Broadcasting House, Ikoyi.

She celebrated Nigeria’s rich linguistic diversity, noting that Radio Nigeria mirrors this cultural wealth by broadcasting in multiple languages to connect with audiences in the most meaningful way—through the language of their hearts.

She praised the association for its steadfast support over the years, describing its members as cherished partners in the Radio Nigeria family.

According to her, the bond between the station and Yoruba presenters has grown stronger with time and would receive even greater reinforcement under her leadership.

“As Radio Nigeria grows, we want you to grow with us,” she assured, promising an open-door relationship that encourages collaboration and mutual progress.

Princess Adegoke also encouraged the association to expand its engagement with Radio One, which she highlighted as a dynamic Yoruba-and-English-speaking station steadily gaining traction among listeners.

She reiterated Radio Nigeria’s role as the “mother of broadcasting” in Nigeria, committed to excellence and public service.

In his remarks, the association’s President, Mr. Alade, said the visit was aimed at strengthening ties and expressing solidarity with the new leadership.

He congratulated Princess Adegoke on her elevation and noted that Yoruba presenters across Lagos maintain strong professional links with Radio Nigeria through programme placements and advert monitoring.

He affirmed the association’s readiness to continue promoting quality broadcasting and preserving cultural heritage.

The meeting was also attended by the General Manager of Metro FM, Mrs. Maria Ihuoma; Deputy Director of Administration, Mr. Adebayo Eso and the Head of Engineering, Mr. Ademola Akanni.
