Residents of Badagry advised to Support Present Administration

A Formér Deputy Comptroller General of Immigration Service, Mr Abiodun Hundeyin has called on the people of Badagry Division to support the political parties in Government for the development of the division.

Hundeyin gave the advice during Lagos State Public Service Forum Badagry Division Stakeholders Summit, organiséd by the service.

“This is the right time for the indigene of the division to form association and clubs like Ikoyi Club, Ikeja County, Island Club and Eko Club to have a way forward in political appointment in the state”.

He urged the Ogu and Awori tribes that constituted the division to come together and embrace unity to move the division forward.

Also speaking, Mr Olusegun Ajibade, former Permanent Secretary at the office of the Lagos State Head of Service, urged the people of the division to forget selfish interest and come together as one family.

Mr. Ajibade advised them to fashion out a way forward, eliminate distrust, bury self interest and take communal interest as being paramount, noting that with love they would get there.

While speaking The Paramount Ruler of Badagry Division, De- Wheno Aholu Menutoyi 1st, Akran of Badagry Kingdom who was represented by the  Baale of Iyafin, High Chief Abiodun Patinvo, urged politicians to have regards for traditional rulers in the division.

“All politicians and traditional rulers in Badagry should come together and move the division forward”.

In his remarks, Mr Bamidele Togbeola, Director, Lagos State Civil Service said the main aim of the summit was to invite sons and daughters of the division to come together.

The theme of the summit was entitled ” The Badagry Division In The Lagos State Scheme of Things; Time for Rebirth’.

Dignitaries at the summit include Oba Alani Ashafa the Onijanikin of Ijanikin a Commissioner in the Civil Service Commission, Mr. Suuru Hodewu-Avoseh, all the Traditional Rulers in the division among others.
