Sanwo-Olu launches Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem, Advocates Increased Vigilance during the Yuletide

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has officially launched the Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem as part of activities leading up to the commemoration of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day on January 15, 2023.

During the ceremony at the Lagos House Ikeja, Governor Sanwo-Olu acknowledged and commended the high level of professionalism displayed by the Military, veterans and other stakeholders, in keeping the Country safe.

Governor Sanwo-Olu who stated that their service is needed more now as the yuletide approaches, urged them to ensure a crime free environment and also advised Lagosians to be security conscious.

The newly sworn-in Chairman of the Nigerian Legion, Lagos State Chapter, Hakeem Wolimoh thanked Governor Sanwo-Olu for his relentless support to the legion and pledged that the Legion would continue to complement existing security architecture to keep Lagos safe and secure.

High point of the event was the decoration of Governor Sanwo-Olu with the insignia by Mr. Wolimoh, while in turn, the Governor decorated the Deputy, Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, some Service Chiefs and selected members of the State Executive Council.
