The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, says his administration will work collaboratively and support the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms by sharing data and opening its books in ensuring fruitful engagement to develop a thriving economy.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said this when the Chairman, Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, Taiwo Oyedele, led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on him at the Lagos House, Marina.
The Governor thanked the delegation for agreeing to serve, hoping that they would put in their best abilities to fore to take the country to a greater height, as well as to achieve the aims and objectives of the committee.
He also said Lagos is working to enhance its revenue sources as it was interested and monitoring the activities of the committee, restating its commitment to discuss, drive conversation, as well as embark on bilateral engagements on fiscal policy and tax reform.
Speaking earlier, Chairman of the Committee, Taiwo Oyedele, said the committee, which was inaugurated on Eighth of August 2023, was on a stakeholders’ engagements to states with Lagos being the first as a model, with an objective to discuss with policy makers, ensure economic growth, fiscal policy, tax reform, as well as enhance revenue drive in the country.
