The Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Islamic Matters, Dr. Ahmad-Jebe, has been conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree by Prowess University, USA.
The recognition was bestowed during the 11th Leadership Summit, Induction, and Honorary Award Ceremony held at the University of Lagos, Akoka. The event was organised in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategic Management.
Dr. Ahmad-Jebe received the honour alongside other distinguished personalities for his contributions to leadership and community development.
In his remarks, he expressed deep gratitude for the recognition, stating that it came as an unexpected but welcome surprise.
“I am very happy because this award will enhance my profile,” he said.
“To be honest, I wasn’t expecting it, but when you commit to doing something well and positively impact others, people notice. At the right time, recognition comes.”
Dr. Ahmad-Jebe noted that the award would inspire him to redouble his efforts in service to humanity.
“I never realised people were observing my efforts, but I thank Almighty God for this honour. I will carry this recognition with pride and continue to impact lives meaningfully. This award not only boosts my profile but motivates me to give back even more.”
Representing Prowess University, Professor Justice Esibe reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to nurturing global excellence through seminars, workshops, and training—both locally and internationally.
He emphasised that the university upholds values such as integrity, professionalism, accountability, leadership, and transparency. He added that honourees are selected for a range of awards, including honorary doctorates, ambassadorial recognitions, and fellowships, based on merit and impactful contributions to society.
