Showcase Your Talents, PLWDs in Lagos Advised As LASODA Holds Annual Trade Expo

Persons Living With Disabilities, PLWDs, in Lagos have been advised to come out of their shells, by embracing the various developmental programmes put in place by the State Government to improve their standard of living.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Disability Affairs, Ms Adenike Oyetunde gave the advice in Alausa Ikeja, during this year’s Trade Expo and Talent Hunt show for Persons Living With Disabilities with the theme;”Ability in Disability”.

Ms Oyetunde who encouraged more PLWDs to register with the Lagos State Office of Disability Affairs, LASODA, and take advantage of the various platforms provided by the Agency to showcase their innate talents, craftsmanship and through such, contribute their quota to the development of Lagos.

LASODA’s General Manager, Mr Dare Dairo reassured PWLDs of continuous support and programmes to celebrate their talents and craftsmanship.

Mr Dairo, who stated that the Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration is committed to an inclusive government through the THEMES Agenda, commended the private sector and Non Government Organisations for their support towards the welfare of PLWDs in the State.

The Trade Expo and Talent Hunt Show is an annual event organised by LASODA to showcase PLWDs owned businesses and crafts made them, while those with innate talents, such as singing, acting and others are encouraged to compete in the talent hunts to enable them garner maximum exposure
