The National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria has commenced its 19th Annual Scientific Conference, with a focus on leveraging emerging technologies and innovation to transform the country’s medical sector.
Speaking to journalists in Sokoto ahead of the event, the College’s National President, Dr. Peter Ebeigbe, said the conference would examine strategies for translating health policies into actionable outcomes.
He emphasized the importance of integrating the private and corporate healthcare sectors into postgraduate medical education to ensure broader and more sustainable improvements in healthcare delivery.
According to a report by Radio Nigeria in Sokoto, the conference will also explore the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in medical practice, including its potential benefits and limitations in service delivery.
Dr. Ebeigbe disclosed that four distinguished resource persons are expected to lead key sessions during the meeting.
