The Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Saad Abubakar has declared today, Wednesday the 28th of May 2025 as the first day of Zulhijja1446AH in the Islamic calendar.
This is in a statement signed by the chairman Advisory Committee on religious Affairs, Sultanate Council Sokoto Prof. Sambo Wali Junaidu.
The statement cited that the Monthly Observation of the moon,clarifies the Islamic Calendar within a given year, thereby making the month of Ramadan moon sightings more acceptable to Muslims in the Country.
