Teen Caught Trying to Sneak Under Aircraft at MMIA Lagos

The Airport Police Command, Lagos has intercepted a 14-year-old boy, Eke Miracle, over an attempted stowaway incident at Murtala Muhammed International Airport.

The teenager was found on the airside of the airport trying to gain access beneath an aircraft, a serious breach of aviation security in a highly restricted area.

The Police spokesman, ASP Mohammed Ademola in a statement, say, the minor unlawfully entered the facility without authorization and was immediately taken into protective custody.

His parents according to him, were contacted, and due process followed, including conducting interviews in their presence while ensuring the boy’s welfare and care were safeguarded.

The Commissioner of Police, Airport Command, Mrs. Ogunbode Olufunke, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to protecting critical aviation infrastructure and warned that strict security regulations must be observed at all times.

She also called on parents to closely monitor their children, especially around sensitive locations like airports, noting that the case will be handled in line with juvenile justice procedures.
